The Legal 500 has named the leading practitioners who represent clients in arbitrations. The list was made on the basis of data of The Legal 500 research group, surveys of leading arbitrators, arbitration institutions and heads of legal departments. The publication describes the practitioners on the list as ""the gold standard of the market".

PB Legal | Panin, Bayramkulov & Partners lawyers successfully defended the client's interests in a dispute with a contractor arising from a disagreement over works during construction of a bridge across the Nadym River worth over RUB 14bn.

In 2011 our client signed a construction contract for construction of a bridge over the Nadym River for RUB 14 billion. Later, the client had a dispute with the contractor, who went to court to recover about RUB 2 billion in back payments for the work performed.

As a result, this conflict lasted for more than four years. In 2016, the Moscow Arbitrazh Court upheld the contractor's claim to recover the debt from our client, based on a construction technical expertise. This position was supported by all higher instances, including the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.

The expert opinion was later found to be misleading in a criminal case, however, the investigator ruled to terminate the criminal case due to the expiry of the limitation period for criminal prosecution.

The PB Legal | Panin, Bayramkulov & Partners team proved that investigator's decision was a newly discovered circumstance, as a result of which all the judicial acts were reversed and the case was sent for a new trial. On 8 October 2020, the Moscow Arbitrazh Court dismissed the claim against our client.

PB Legal | Panin, Bayramkulov & Partners team represented the interests of Ruspolimet JSC in a precedent-setting case on liability for acquired shares.

Aviatechnologii NPO, a former owner of blocks of shares of two factories in Nizhniy Novgorod, filed two claims for damages in the amount of more than US 3 billion against Ruspolimet JSC, which has a controlling interest in these factories, and against Partner JSC, which is a professional registrar.

A partner of PB Legal | Panin, Bayramkulov & Partners, Alan Bayramkulov, commented on Russian corporate and tort law for Russian agency on legal and judicial information.

PB Legal | Panin, Bayramkulov & Partners team successfully represented the interests of Ruspolimet JSC in a precedent-setting dispute with Aviatechnologii NPO.

Aviatechnologii NPO, a former owner of blocks of shares of two factories in Nizhniy Novgorod, filed two claims for damages in the amount of more than US 3 billion against Ruspolimet JSC, which has a controlling interest in these factories, and against Partner JSC, which is a professional holder of factories’ register.

Aviatikhnologii NPO, citing the verdict to its former chief accountant, argued that the issuer should be held liable for the alienation shares shares of two Nizhny Novgorod metallurgical factories in 2004. However, the court of cassation did not find the fault of PJSC Ruspolimet and its registrar.

This dispute was included in TOP-10 of the most significant cases in 2017, according to Kommersant magazine.
